Gold Pan City Dance offers the opportunity for students to begin dancing from the age of 3! The Gold Pan City Dance children attend weekly classes, take CDTA exams, compete in Dance Festivals, as well as perform in Quesnel’s two Dance Galas. Co-owners and mother-daughter duo Sandy and Jessie Herman are inspired and rewarded by the enthusiasm and dedication of their students of all ages. In the beginning, Sandy had to work hard to get the business up and running. When it first opened, her daughter Jessie was a dance student. After years of studying dance, competing and performing, Jessie has joined her mom teaching in the studio. With Jessie’s knowledge and love of dance, she has become a role model for all her students. The Herman ladies have a passion for the arts in general and like to participate in arts-related community events and do art projects during their down time. What Sandy and Jessie love most about Gold Pan City Dance is being able to watch children express themselves through the art of dance. In the 25 years that the studio has been in operation, Sandy and Jessie have become a part of hundreds of children’s achievements. Many of these children start out in dance as preschoolers and continue all the way until high school graduation. Watching them grow into confident, strong individuals on and off stage, is a reward and accomplishment like no other and is the reason that they love coming to work every day.
